LO1: Strengths and Weaknesses of both ideas
Idea 1: Music Video for song "Move With the Season" by Temples.
Strengths:
-The video would be incredibly marketable to audiences who are 14-18 and therefore would be very successful when shared on social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, since it is that age range that use social media the most since they are digital natives.
-The video would be incredibly suitable to the Music's genre.
-The video would create a direct appeal to the target audience, who like psychedelic music, and are going to be interested in psychedelic animations also.
-The video will have beautiful visuals to match the mysterious musical style
-The videos animated style will be similar to other animated psychedelic videos
Weaknesses:
-Psychedelia is a very difficult style to work in when animating.
-The process of creating the video would be incredibly time consuming since the video is going to be animated in a 2D style in a frame by frame manner.
-The process may be difficult to create by an under developed animator.
Idea 2: Trailer for animated motion picture "Super Dudes".
Strengths:
-The video would contain a lot of humour, therefore would be successfully marketable on social media since videos of satirical and humorous nature are shared often on social media (e.g. memes).
-Animating the video would be an enjoyable process, therefore I would finish the video quicker.
-Animating the video would create a product which will have a direct appeal to a specific yet wide audience.

-Despite me being likely to finish the video quicker, the process of animating would still be reasonably time consuming.
-The video's narrative is too wacky and could be unsuccessful among a mainstream audience.
-The video may not make sense as a non-linear narrative, and may be hard to create a clear sense of narrative through this advertising style

LO2: Presentation feedback
When presenting my presentation to the client, the client gave me the following feedback:
He suggested that I need to gain contact with the band, in order for the project's process to be sped up, he also suggested that I used 3D animation instead of 2D animation, in order to meet the most popular for of animation in my project, and appeal to a more modern audience, who are more interested in more recent styles of animation. He also suggested that I embedded the music videos into the presentation, which I was studying, in order for the client to get a more visual idea of what I am attempting to create. I also needed to be able to prove that I could create a product with as high quality art work as the projects the project was inspired by. I also needed to create a sense of synergy in the production of the animated product, in order to enforce the sense of the bands brand. Since the bands name is 'Temples' the brand would need to be a psychedelic one. Finally the client suggested that I proposed production dates and deadlines for when the video is finished/completed.
Response:
Because I am not an experienced 3D animator, I am going to need to stay in my ability as a 2D animator, and still create the project as a 2D animator, however I am going to contact the band immediately, in order to create the process quickly, as well as storyboarding the animation in order design a synergy in the final animation. I am also going to propose certain deadlines in order to speed up the animation process in a more animated way in order to increase the potential of the final product.

LO1: Task 1, 2 Mind Maps of ideas
SYNOPSIS OF TWO IDEAS FROM EACH MIND MAP:
Music Video:
The Video would be promoting the song "Move With the Season" by the band "Temples" who reside in the genre of psychedelia, therefore the video would be animated in a psychedelic style, with a psychedelic narrative and would also deliver a psychedelic message to the audience. The style of the animated video will be executed in a similiar fashion to the video "The Music Scene" animated by Anthony Fransisco Scheppard for the band "Blockhead".
Trailer:
The Video would be promoting the action/satire animated motion picture "Super Dudes", the videos narrative would follow four rogue military specialists who have been hired too "take down" maniac scientist Doctor Loser, who plans to convert the world's population into robots with his ingenius "replicant ray". The video would be animated in a style which both pastiches and satires anime.
